“We had THE MOST perfect wedding day and week-long stay at Chateau Du Raysse in July 2024. We booked from Australia without seeing the chateau before our stay, and Josie was so helpful and sent lots of great pictures and videos so we had a great feel for the place.<\/p>

There were around 30 of us staying in the house over the week. The space is so special, full of character and charm. The gardens are absolutely stunning, and the pools and surrounding spaces were perfect for relaxing in. You really won\u2019t be disappointed if you book the chateau, it will be the best decision you make.

“Wish I could give 1000 stars! Similar to some of the other couples, we were unable to visit the venue prior to our June wedding and what really set this place apart for us were the detailed videos that Josie sent us. It helped make the decision so easy for us and helped tremendously with planning. When we got to tour it in person the day before our guests arrived we were blown away with how beautiful it was in person! We had rain on our wedding day and at first I was a bit sad because I had planned all outdoor locations but the indoor settings were just as, if not MORE stunning! “This venue is stunning. We didn’t get a chance to view it in person before our wedding in June, so were a little nervous. Josie, the fantastic manager of the chateau provided some detailed videos of the grounds and rooms so we had an idea. Seeing it in person the day before our wedding really took our breath away. We couldn’t believe we had the whole grounds to ourselves. We used various different locations for the ceremony, reception, meal, dancing – it just had everything. Besides the amazing venue for our wedding, we had a BBQ the evening before and a very chill pool party the day after. It catered perfectly to our needs. “Our event at Chateau du Raysse was like something out of a dream. We were there in April, and the Wisteria was in bloom, which was gorgeous beyond words. The kitchens provided plenty of space for us to host breakfasts, lunches, and dinners (although we primarily ate outside on the beautiful lawns).<\/p>

We had plenty of space for our 37 guests at our wedding ceremony (held under the picturesque arch) and for our reception on the Maison lawn! Later in the evening, we did dancing in the Maison Hall, which was so fun (and we were SO grateful for the AC!). We did take advantage of the pool as well, the groom hung out there all morning the day of the wedding! The bride was able to get ready on the balcony of the primary suite, which made the morning so peaceful and beautiful. Every guest had amazing things to say about the Chateau, and I will sing its praises for the rest of my days! So if you’ve been dreaming of a fairytale wedding (or birthday or vacation!), don’t hesitate!”<\/p>

“We got married here in September 2022 and it was absolutely magical. Josie helped us right from the outset with recommending suppliers and sorting things out for us last minute, like getting a new BBQ and a last minute marquee\/tent cover. I consider it extremely good value for money especially as most of our wedding guests were able to stay at the Chateau with us over the weekend. “My husband and I celebrated our wedding and the buildup to it the week commencing May the 9th 2022. Upon arriving at the ch\u00e2teau, we were amazed at how stunning the venue was. The photos give you a good idea but until you see it in person it really does take your breath away.<\/p>

The rooms are beautiful throughout the property and well sized for couples or even extra guests and family rooms. The concierge will even put in extra mattresses \/ beds to help accommodate those extra guests \/ families.<\/p>

The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and the views are epic. To be stood on the master suite balcony and take in the views and backdrop overlooking the pool and the back of the ch\u00e2teau is really priceless. We\u2019d highly recommend this experience to anyone.”<\/p>

“Chateau du Raysse was the perfect venue for our intimate wedding. It was so wonderful to be able to house everyone comfortably on site! The pools were perfect for the unseasonably warm week and we had so many beautiful areas to choose from for all the different wedding activities.<\/p>

If you are looking for an extremely polished place, this chateau may not be the best option for you, but if you are looking for a beautiful venue with loads of character and charm this is it! “An incredibly beautiful location!! We celebrated our wedding at Ch\u00e2teau du Raysse on 11\/7\/21 together with 34 guests and had a wonderful week. The estate has so many beautiful, different places that it is an ideal location for a wedding. We really had the most beautiful day of our lives in a super romantic setting.<\/p>

Despite being an old building, the beds and showers were very good. All guests were wildly enthusiastic. In the event of an occasional problem, we could immediately contact Evelyn and Michel! Very friendly people.<\/p>

“We spent a week here at the end of June with friends and family, to celebrate our wedding. I don’t think we could have picked a more romantic place to get married! The Ch\u00e2teau is full of so much character and the surrounding grounds are beautiful. There are two swimming pools which I think were the biggest hit among everybody, even on the wedding night we were being serenaded by the band while we all cooled off in the pool. I really do hope to return someday and would highly recommend anybody to have a holiday here or better yet get married here!”

It is very rustic and has a lot of charm. The grounds are superb with two pools and plenty of outside space. “My daughter’s wedding was hosted at the 800 year old Ch\u00e2teau du Raysse in May and it is a wonderful picturesque venue in the heart of the beautiful countryside of the Dordogne. With two kitchens, huge common room, lounges, grounds and several swimming pools this lovely old house can easily accommodate 40 guests. The concierge made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Off site the location is ideal for country walks, river trips and site seeing. The restaurants and local town are brilliant too. You won’t be disappointed if you choose the ch\u00e2teau for your special day.”

“We just completed a week-long stay at the Ch\u00e2teau! Hats off to the concierge who tended to our large (and sometimes a little needy) group of 30 family and friends! They are wonderful and went so far above and beyond to help make our stay a lifetime experience.<\/p>

The property is picturesque and the upkeep of a building like the Ch\u00e2teau, which dates back to the 1200s is an ongoing endeavor for sure. But the place is awesome; the pool was perfect to gather and recap the days discoveries after taking in some of the sites in the historic nearby villages.”

“We got married at Ch\u00e2teau du Raysse in May and it was truly everything we could have hoped for! The venue itself is stunning, with views over the Dordogne valley. We had our ceremony under the stone balcony, next to the Medieval tower and it felt so romantic!<\/p>

We chose Ch\u00e2teau du Raysse because it gave us so much more freedom in the wedding in the UK. The venue is yours for the week and you can either do things yourself or bring in outside caterers – you can provide your own drink (no corkage) and we could choose where we wanted the different elements of our day (gardens, hall, lawns etc.)<\/p>

We had a celebrant, cellist, hog roast company and marquee company come in but we also really enjoyed decorating the Ch\u00e2teau ourselves with our friends using wildflowers from the meadows and plenty of fairy lights!<\/p>

After the wedding, we spent the rest of the week exploring the area and relaxing by the pool with our friends and family.<\/p>
