Here are some answers to the most common queries we’ve had from prospective guests.

Is there a swimming pool?

We have two large outdoor swimming pools. These pools are not heated, however, average temperatures in the Dordogne countryside are over 26C in the summer, and over 20C in the spring and autumn, so the pools are wonderful to enjoy during the warmer months! Both pools have motion sensor alarms which can be activated when the pools are not in use for the safety of children.

Is there a washing machine on the premises?

Yes, there is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the Château’s kitchen, which available to all guests.

Is catering included?

The Château is self-catered with two well-equipped kitchens and an additional kitchenette in the Pigeonnier, but we can also provide plenty of support and recommendations should you like to have caterers for your wedding, family party, holiday or other special occasion. You can choose whichever caterers you like and we do not charge corkage.

Is there WiFi?

Yes, the Château has WiFi but please note that, due to the hilltop location, the connection can be a little slow. We’d advise downloading your favourite music and films in advance, although there is plenty to entertain in the grounds! We have many books and games, two swimming pools and lots of nearby activities for big and little adventurers alike – check out our Explore page for things to do nearby.

Do you provide bedding and towels?

Yes all towels and bedding are included for the duration of your stay. You may wish to bring extra towels with you for the pool.

Are child's beds/cots available?

Yes, if you need an extra bed for a child or a cot for a baby, please let us know ahead of arrival using the room numbers as per our floorplan and we will always do our best to accommodate you. There is no extra charge for this service. 

What is your availability?

Please contact us to check availability for specific dates, as this changes quickly. We take bookings throughout the year but our main season runs from mid-March until the end of October.

How can I pay?

All payments under 1000 euro will be required upfront at the time of booking to secure your room/rooms. For bookings over 1000 euros, a non-refundable deposit of 35% is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due eight weeks before arrival. All payments can be made via bank transfer or Wise. Bookings are non-refundable but are usually transferable and will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. We also require a 600 euro security deposit for all bookings. This should be made by bank transfer at least two weeks in advance of your stay. Should everything be in order, the security deposit will be returned within four weeks of check-out.

What time can I check-in and check-out?

You can check-in after 4pm. Please ensure that you confirm your estimated arrival time at least two weeks in advance and that it is included on your pre-arrival form. Check-out is before 10am. Later check-ins/check-outs are available for an additional fee. Subject to availability.

Do you allow pets on the premises?

Yes, we’re a pet-friendly venue – please let us know in advance if you wish to bring your pet(s) with you.

Is there anything else I should know?

There is a strict cut-off time of 10pm for music outdoors, after this point, music must be taken inside, this includes hired PA systems, bands, musicians and DJs sets. The Maison Garden is the principal area for music/dancing outside before 10pm and music should be moved from other areas of the estate to this space by 7pm. For pool parties, only portable speakers are permitted by the pool area. For all other areas and types of music, please remember to be mindful of noise levels disturbing our neighbours.
