Sarlat-la-Canéda – 20 minute drive
Beautiful town with history around every corner. Take in the cathedral, a labyrinth of historic cobbled streets, gardens and manors. There’s also a market every Saturday morning.

A quaint little town with amazing views of the Dordogne Valley.

Beynac – 25 minute drive
Nestled on the bank of the Dordogne, Beynac is known as one of the most beautiful villages in France. 

Rocamadour – 30 minute drive
Set on the mountainside, Rocamadour is unforgettable. It is known for the Cité Réligieuse complex of religious buildings, accessed via the Grand Escalier staircase and the streets filled with boutiques and restaurants. There are great walks around the area too.

Cahors – 1 hour drive
You just have to see the stunning Medieval bridge for yourself!

Quercyland – 10 minute drive

Thrilling family-friendly waterpark with five pools and lots of giant slides and flumes! Go-karting and other activities for children also available. Open 11am to 8pm throughout the summer. Free entry if using canoes on the same day.

La Ferme La Borie d’Imbert – 25 minute drive

Meet the animals, learn about the farm and eat lots of local cheese!

Prehisto Dino Parc – 30 minute drive

Open every day from April to mid-November and during school holidays. Families typically spend about an hour here, walking through the company of dinosaurs, and life size scenes that depict the evolution of Man from 3 million years ago until 3,500 BC.

Prehisto Parc – 50 minute drive

Because every provence worth its salt has TWO parks about prehistoric animals and cavemen! This prehistoric park is a highly recommended half-day activity for families with young children. Enjoy a nice woodland walk, passing scenes from Stone Age life accompanied by atmospheric sounds and exhibit signs in French and English. Open 10am-7.30pm every day. Free entry for very little ones.

Labyrinthe Préhistorique – 50 minute drive

We love this one – an underground prehistoric labyrinth packed with activities. Solve riddles as you make your way around the underground maze, and win prizes if you can guess all the clues! We’d advise that you read the Tripadvisor reviews as very young children may find the realism a little unsettling.

Parc Le Bournat – 50 minute drive

Theme park recreating 19th-century village life with crafts demonstrations, a fairground & dining. Free parking and a nice picnic area. Bonus tip – they’ve just started operating night time tours as of July 2019!
