We are absolutely thrilled to invite you to our exclusive Tasting Weekend at Château du Raysse, running from 9th – 11th October 2026. This isn’t just a “look around” the grounds; it’s a full-immersion experience into the lifestyle of our 12th-century medieval castle. With the legendary Cheffy Marco taking over our kitchen, your taste buds are in for a serious treat!

An Exceptional Tasting Experience
Finding the right venue for your big life moments can feel like a bit of a marathon, can’t it? You want the history, the charm, and the “wow” factor, but you also need to know that your guests will be fed like royalty.
That’s why we’ve teamed up with Cheffy Marco to showcase exactly what a celebration at the Raysse looks like. It’s a chance to get stuck in, meet our team, and see how our authentic medieval charm blends seamlessly with modern comforts. Plus, it’s the perfect excuse for a cheeky romantic getaway in the heart of the French countryside.
Meet the Chef: Exceptional Catering by Marco
We don’t use the word “exceptional” lightly, but when it comes to Cheffy Marco, it’s the only word that fits! Known for his incredible flair and commitment to French culinary traditions, Marco creates dishes that are as beautiful as they are delicious.
During this weekend, Marco will be showcasing a range of styles: from laid-back, rustic vibes to a sophisticated tasting menu that will leave you swooning. It’s a brilliant way to sample his talent before you commit to your own event catering.
The Weekend Itinerary: A Teaser for Your Taste Buds
Thirsty, anyone? Or perhaps just a bit peckish? Here is a little glimpse at what Marco has planned for our guests. We’re still putting the finishing touches on the full menus and drink package options, but here is a flavour of what to expect:
Friday Night: The Warm Welcome
Arrive, drop your bags, and breathe in that fresh Dordogne air. We’ll kick things off with a relaxed evening featuring:
Artisanal Pizzas: Think thin crusts, local toppings, and that authentic Italian taste!
Decadent Dessert: A sweet treat to end the night as you mingle with other guests under the stars with a glass of local wine.
Saturday: The Main Event
Saturday is all about indulgence.
Leisurely Breakfast: Fuel up for a day of exploring the estate with the team on hand to answer your burning wedding planning questions, relax by one of the two swimming pools, take a stroll down to the river or discover one of the nearby towns.
The Grand Tasting Menu: This is the highlight! Marco will pull out all the stops with a multi-course menu designed to showcase the very best of local produce.
Evening Social: Keep the vibes going with Chicken Kebabs & Fries: posh yet relaxed food done the French way, perfect for a chilled evening in the gardens.
Sunday: The Farewell
Full Cooked Breakfast: Before you head off (or head back to the pool if you wish to continue your stay with us!), enjoy a hearty breakfast to see you on your way.

Luxury Stays and Historic Charm
While the food is the star, the backdrop is equally stunning. During the tasting weekend, you’ll be staying in one of our beautiful double ensuite rooms. Enjoy that authentic castle feel that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time and indulge in a slower pace of life.
Make a Week of It: Extended Stays
Why rush off? If you’re traveling from the UK or further afield, you might want to make the most of your trip to the Dordogne. We are opening the doors of the Château from 7th – 14th October for anyone who wants to extend their stay.
For just an extra 100€ a night, you can keep your double ensuite room and spend a few extra days exploring nearby gems like Sarlat, Rocamadour or Souillac. It’s a fantastic way to enjoy a French retreat while getting a real feel for the region.

The Full Weekend Package: 520€ per person
This includes the full catering package (260€) and two nights of luxury accommodation (260€)
Catering Only: 260€ per person
If you’re staying nearby or live locally, you are more than welcome to join us just for the food!
Extra Nights: 100€ per night (7-9 and 11-14 October)
Stay longer and soak up the atmosphere!
If you go on to book Cheffy Marco, then 260€ will be refunded from your final catering balance.
